Traffic Technician
Job Description:
The primary duties of the traffic technician will be to gather and analyze data about traffic flow, accidents, proposed commercial and residential developments. Specific duties will include obtaining and analyzing traffic data, for example setting up automatic counters to measure vehicular and pedestrian traffic in specific places at specific times. This position performs a variety of field and office traffic engineering work and planning related to traffic and transportation; conducts research and data gathering, traffic surveys, speed surveys, traffic accident investigations, investigations relating to roadway safety and signing, and performs other routine paraprofessional and technical duties.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience with obtaining and processing traffic counts (Desired).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Ofice
• Team player with ability to communicate with staff
