PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Legacy Arena is a performance and entertainment venue located at The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC); a sports, convention and entertainment complex located in the City of Birmingham. The Arena seats approximately 17,500 for sporting events and up to 19,000 for center stage concerts.

In an effort to enhance visitor and fan experience, the BJCC has embarked on a $125 million project to renovate and expand the Legacy Arena. The project was to improve circulation to and within the space and modernization aimed at providing exceptional user interactions and amenities.

The expansion included a new plaza and entry experience with a lobby, ticketing and entry points from the plaza to the Arena. Dynamic Civil Solutions provided civil engineering design services for the entry plaza. Engineering services included civil site design, site grading and drainage plan, erosion and sediment control plans and construction administration.
